Two more film festivals for YOU ARE ALONE Starring TALENTED MANAGER’S JESSICA BOHL
NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT, NEW YORK, NEW YORK, and BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: YOU ARE ALONE, Gorman Bechard’s dark and poignant tale, has been invited to screen at the Bucharest International Film Festival & the first annual Nolita Film Festival, marking the ninth and tenth festival appearances for the indie feature.Produced by New Haven-based What Were We Thinking Films, the film is a deeply honest narrative which explores the loneliness of an 18-year-old female escort (JESSICA BOHL) and the middle-aged man who inadvertently crosses her path. "The story is about the hour these two damaged neighbors spend in a hotel room," Bechard said. "The outcome is hardly what you think."
While New England Films dubbed it, "Last tango in New Haven," radio personality and author, Vinnie Penn remarked: "it’s a movie that will stay with you for days. The loneliness the lead character feels is palpable, and worst, relatable."YOU ARE ALONE has already won five film festival awards including Best Narrative Feature (Northampton), Best of Fest, Best Screenplay (both Indiefest Chicago), and two Best Actress awards for star and TALENTED MANAGER’S client JESSICA BOHL (Indiefest and the Brooklyn International Film Festival).
The first Nolita screening will be Wednesday, December 7th at 5:30 PM, at Bar 288 (288 Elizabeth Street, NYC). There will be a Q&A after the screening. And because the film is one of the award finalists, a second Nolita screening has been added for Thursday, December 8th at 3:30 PM.The Bucharest screenings will be held in March, 2006.
